Comment: This fantastic antique French Brittany armoire is resplendent with hand-carvings from top to toe. Heavily-carved in rich chestnut wood, the two-door armoire dates to circa 1900 and it was crafted in France in the traditional Brittany style. Take a moment to admire the carvings, including the two doors with carved figures of knights fighting on horseback and on foot. A rather more relaxed looking gentleman is carved at the top center of the cabinet, gazing out over the fields. Decorative galleries of spindles also adorn the armoire, and the ship wheel motifs at the top of the doors are a tribute to Brittanys maritime history. There is plenty of storage space inside the large antique armoire, with three wide shelves to hold your linens or stacked cashmere sweaters and scarves. There is additional room for accessories in the drawer at the foot of the armoire. The heavily-carved antique Brittany armoire will be the crowning glory in your bedroom, hallway, or anywhere you choose to let it grace your home.
