Comment: Lavished with ornate carvings and boasting lovely green and red stained glass including depictions of regal lions, this handsome antique French Renaissance cabinet in the Hunting style is a work of art. The antique French cabinet dates to 1880 and it is carved in the traditional Hunting style in solid oak wood. The upper cabinet features red and green stained glass doors with majestic lions depicted standing in the style that you would traditionally see on a royal crest or noble family shield. The cabinet is adorned with handsome carvings, including an animal head peeking out from the foliage and acorns above the glass doors, and barley twists framing both the upper and lower cabinets. The lower oak wood doors are festooned with carvings of flowers and leaves and other traditional Hunting style rural motifs. The whole beauty is topped with a carved regal heraldic crest to create a majestic silhouette. In addition to creating a visual focal point, the antique Hunting style cabinet is also a very practical piece of storage furniture. Perhaps you will use this fine antique Renaissance buffet in the Hunting style as a buffet or server in your dining room or perhaps it will find the perfect home serving as storage in your hallway, great room, master bedroom or large kitchen.
