Comment: Everyone will feel like a member of the nobility when they take a seat on one of these elegant antique French Renaissance Hunting style chairs, which we have as a set of twelve. Perfect for your large family gathering or dinner party, this set of 12 armless dining chairs dates to circa 1900 and they were crafted in France in the Hunting style in sturdy oak wood and rattan. The crest rail features a carving of foliage and the chair posts are fluted columns topped with floral carved blocks and spindle finials. The fluted and shaped columns and carved blocks are echoed in the chair legs, joined by a turned stretcher. The seat and back are upholstered in neutral cane or rattan, ensuring that these dining chairs work with any color scheme. The cane or rattan upholstery also gives a sense of visual lightness to the chairs, which is perfectly if you enjoy antique furniture but do not want pieces that look too dark or heavy. Use the full set of 12 antique French Hunting dining chairs around your large dining table or you can enjoy some of the chairs as useful and handsome side chairs in your living room, hallway or bedroom.
