Comment: The perfect choice for anyone who enjoys fine wine, this set of four Renaissance Hunting style dining chairs is adorned with carvings of bunches of grapes on the back splat. The four armless chairs are a direct import from France and they date to 1880. The chairs are carved in the French Hunting style and crafted in solid oak wood with neutral cane or rattan seats. The nicely carved entwined leaves and grapes on the back splat are framed by barley twist chair posts. The twist posts are topped with a block carved with a flower and an elegant finial, surrounding the handsomely shaped pierced crest rail. The chair legs also feature carved blocks with rosettes and the shapely stretchers add to the traditional appeal. This handsome set of 4 antique French chairs are a terrific example of the classic French Hunting style, with the nicely rendered carvings and rustic theme. The four antique French Hunting chairs will be a decorative choice for your dining room, and they are a good choice too for a mountain lodge or country cabin.
