Antique French Server, Walnut, Red Marble, Architectural, Hand Carved, 1900

If your decor could use some structure, check out this beautiful architectural server from France! Dating to 1900, this antique walnut server brings a cathedral to your dining or living area. Corbel carvings flank the spindle top and are complemented by barrel-vault carvings. Classic, urn-style columns support the upper portion atop a splashy top of red marble shot through with veins of cream and gray. A pair of ornately carved drawers offer storage for service pieces, candles, or napkins. Open shelves below provide a place to display your antique china or even family photos. Of course, you could use the server for its intended purpose and set some food out on it during your next holiday buffet! An additional shelf near the top offers still more display area. Measuring over 6 feet tall and nearly 4 feet wide, this antique French server in walnut with a red marble top will make a handsome addition to your home! Condition: Shows normal wear to the finish and miscellaneous nicks, dings, and scratches due to age and use. There are non-active wood worm holes on the left side and stains on the shelf. The back corner of the bottom left column is missing, but could be restored prior to shipping, if desired. There is a slight warp to the top piece due to the hand-crafted nature of the piece. There has been professional restoration to the back left corner of the skirt.
