Dining Chairs Renaissance Castle Lions Set 6 Carved Mahogany Wood Leather

This marvelous set of six vintage Renaissance castle dining chairs includes two dining arm chairs and two armless dining side chairs. They will all create a noble impression in your dining room and they will also look terrific as side chairs in any room of the house. The set of six vintage dining chairs from Spain dates to about 1950 and each chair is crafted in mahogany wood with stunning embossed leather on the seat and chair back. The chair rail rises to a beautiful carved arch which includes carved cameo heads in profile. The tan or brown leather is embossed with a boldly decorative design of castle towers and roaring lions, evoking the regal heraldic crests of aristocratic European families. The chunky legs are also very decoratively carved with scroll shapes and they stand on claw feet. You will also notice the nicely carved arms on the two arm chairs. The spindle design on the stretchers adds further visual interest. Nail head trim around the leather upholstery adds to the sense of majesty on this terrific and unusual set of 6 Renaissance style dining chairs.
