The server was crafted in France around the year 1880 and it is carved in solid oak wood. Atop the antique French server/sideboard you'll see nice carvings of a pair of griffins or mythical beasts, while an animal face peers out to oversee your dinner party! The sideboard is also carved with the entwined branches and forest foliage typical of Hunting style. Rustic barley twist legs are decorated with floral blocks and carved twisted posts topped with finials support the upper hutch. Nicely sized at 72 inches high and 54 inches wide, this antique French Renaissance Hunting style server is as practical as it is good looking. Two lower shelves provide display space while the top surface has plenty of room to set out your serving tureens and dishes. Condition of this Antique and Vintage Server
Used - Good
Shows normal wear to the finish and miscellaneous nicks, dings, and scratches due to age and use. There are black rings and marks on the surfaces. The right drawer pull has been damaged but it is not very visible.
