Comment:
If you love dogs or if you want a handsome antique buffet to decorate your rustic decor dining room, this splendid antique French Renaissance buffet in the Hunting style might be exactly what you have been seeking. The unusual antique French Hunting buffet dates to 1880 and features great carvings in the solid oak wood. Carvings include trailing vines, swirling leaves, and juicy bunches of grapes. But the focal point of this delightful Hunting buffet is the lower cabinet door, carved with a beautifully detailed hunting dog in an oval medallion. See how jauntily he trots along through the undergrowth, looking for his master! (Note that one of his legs is damaged, but that doesn't stop this happy hound from enjoying his adventures!) Carved leafy scroll brackets support the upper cabinet, which is accessed with a glass door with a stately double arch front. At 41 inches wide, this narrow antique French buffet will fit perfectly into a smaller space in your dining room or living room.
