Antique and Vintage French Dining Chairs Product Details
42H x 18W x 17DHere's a magnifique set of 8 antique French oak dining chairs for those who love the Hunting style of furniture. Dating to 1880, the oak chairs are beautifully carved in the French Hunting style. The impressive crest rail is carved with a flourish of foliage and what looks like bunches of nuts or pine cones. Carved rosettes adorn the blocks at the top and bottom of the turned and fluted chair posts, topped with attractive finials. The chair legs echo the handsome design of the posts. The Hunting chair backs are cane/wicker, nicely framed by the aged patina of the oak wood. Six of the 8 antique dining chairs are upholstered in a classic floral fabric, while the other two Hunting chairs boast cane/wicker seats. You could place the matching pair with cane/wicker seats at either end of your dining table for the host and hostess, or use the six fabric upholstered chairs as dining chairs while placing the other pair as handsome side chairs in any room of the house. Or take the opportunity to reupholster all eight to suit your own tastes and decor. However you use these high quality and nicely crafted Antique French oak dining chairs, you'll enjoy them for years.
