Comment: Heavily carved in beautifully aged chestnut wood and with a handsome mirror in the center, this wonderful antique French Brittany style armoire will bring character and charm to your master bedroom. The antique carved armoire dates to around the year 1890 and it was crafted in France in the traditional Brittany style. The front of the armoire or wardrobe is splendidly carved with figures of French country folk in a rustic setting, and the large carving atop the armoire portrays a couple of merry men leaning against a ship wheel motif as they play a jaunty tune on their musical instruments. The ship wheel motifs adorning the closet pay tribute to Brittanys maritime history on the coast of France. You will find plenty of storage space inside the large antique armoire, and drawers add additional room for accessories or smaller items. If you are looking for an exceptional antique French Brittany armoire to add the perfect finishing touch to your bedroom, hallway, or other space, you have just found the ideal option.
