Comment: If you want to add a dash of color and some majestic style to your living room, library or home office, then you have just found a wonderful Mechelen bookcase that will solve all your problems! The vintage Renaissance Mechelen style bookcase or display case is crafted in oak wood. It dates to 1930 and it was crafted in Belgium with lovely stained glass doors on the upper cabinet. Feast your eyes on the pretty carvings along the top frieze of the bookcase, echoed on the door panels of the lower two doors. Look closely between those doors and you will see a carved beast head peering out to say hello! The doors of the upper cabinet feature stained glass with a blue glass shield on one side and a red glass shield on the other. These create a very noble look as they evoke the heraldic crests of aristocratic families of old. The four-door bookcase provides great storage for your favorite books. Or use it as a display case for your collectibles, while tucking other household items in the lower part of the Mechelen style vintage bookcase.
