Dating to 1880, the oak wood cabinet boasts superb carvings that are exceptional even for the heavily-carved Mechelen style, which was a Belgian interpretation of the French Hunting style. The high-quality carvings include buffet include majestic lions heads, some with a brass or gold toned ring, and nicely rendered human faces that peer out of the cabinet to keep a friendly watch over your home. You will also notice wonderful carvings of noble human figures. These distinctive carvings are sure to be a focal point for conversation during any party!
