Comment:The hand-carved lyre back on this high-quality new hand-crafted 2-seat chair or love seat creates a sense of airiness to the sturdy bench that makes it a great choice if you do not want your wood furniture to look too heavy on the eye. Inspired by the upscale antique furniture designed by the nineteenth-century American furniture maker Duncan Phyfe, the love seat or bench is hand-crafted in solid mahogany wood and with great attention to detail. The mahogany is plantation grown for sustainability and kiln dried. You will admire the hand-carved details including the figural mahogany crest rail surrounded by satinwood banding, the lyre carved back splat with brass decorations, and the legs featuring Federal style carvings. The seat is upholstered with a neutral fabric, but if you decide you would like to customize the love seat to match your color scheme, you can easily remove the seat with four screws and give the upholstery a personal touch with your own fabric.
