Comment: The carvings of wild forest animals on the central pedestal of this fabulous antique French Renaissance dining table in the Hunting style are so lively and full of character, they will bring a generous dose of personality to your dining room. The antique Hunting table dates to 1880 and it was crafted in France in oak wood. The shining stars of the dining table are the carvings of the four vividly detailed creatures leaping out of the table pedestal. You will see a wild fox, a wild boar and a stag, as well as a hunting dog wearing a collar. These emblems of the royal hunt are a wonderful example of the French Hunting style that was originally made popular by King Francis I. The animals are wonderfully carved with a very realistic look. The dining table is also carved with an attractive repeat pattern on the table top rim to add yet more visual interest. The oak wood of this handsome antique French Hunting dining table is nicely aged over more than a century.
