Screens & Panels

We have many different types of wall and floor screens and wall panels for sale on our website to help you enhance your home decor. Some are antique screen art panels, including antique Chinese Late Qing Dynasty pieces with traditional Chinese carvings, typically in pine or elm wood. Others are high-quality reproductions of antique designs, including many hand-crafted details such as hand-painting and hand-carving. We also supply some stunning modern wall hanging artwork designs.

Screens and panels have many different purposes and you can use them in many different ways to decorate your home. They give an architectural feel to your decor that is hard to create in any other way. The pieces designed to hang on the wall are wall art to be enjoyed as you would enjoy a painting. They create a focal point over a fireplace or in an alcove or on your gallery style wall. However, unlike a flat photograph or painting, hanging screens also add more texture and create a warmer feel to a room.

Our antique Chinese screens usually date to about 1900 or 1910 and the folk art carvings are wonderful. Each symbol carved has a meaning to bring the owner good fortune and health, including flowers, lotus blossoms, birds and geometric designs.  Each symbol means something slightly different, so ask us when you find something you like and we will tell you the meaning of the carved design. We have sometimes rescued these pieces  from buildings about to be demolished and we are so happy to ship them back to the USA so our customers can be delighted by the amazing craftsmanship.

Free standing floor screens are very adaptable. You can use them as a decorative accent, perhaps behind a large potted plant in the corner of a room, so they break up a sharp corner. They serve beautifully as a room divider, offering privacy or serving as a visual break between one part of a space or another.
