If you've ever slept in a makeshift bedroom without a bedside table, you'll know that it's a bit like injuring your thumb. You don't realize how much you use it till you can't! A well-dressed bedside table will have a lamp, some tissues easily to hand and an alarm clock. (A cell phone clock is just not the same when you have to hunt around for it in the middle of the night!) A pitcher of water, a notepad and pan, and a few magazines or books are always appreciated too.
